Blue Eyes -- Chapter 2

The Car

A phone call woke him up. He was like dreaming after he heard his mobile phone ringing. Thank God! I didn’t lose my new phone. He stood up from being seated on the floor and searched to where the ring is coming from. It was under his bed. It feels like a relief after he found out that his phone wasn’t missing.

He took the phone out from that dark place and answered the call.

“Hi, who is this?
“Derek, It’s me, Marlon. How was your date last night?
“Who Am I talking too?
“Is this Derek?”
“It’s George, Man!”
“Oh I’m sorry, can you hand the phone to Derek Please?”
“Who the hell is Derek?”
“The owner of the phone, is he around?”

The last sentences dragged him to bewilderment. This phone is not his. It is maybe from a guy named Derek, whom he took home from the cheap bar.

“Derek left this phone in my apartment.”
“George, right?”
“Yup, Can you tell me how to get to his place?”

It was when he heard a car parking at the front of his apartment. It was past five then. The sun is partially set and the sky is starting to paint grey. The black Toyota Vios stopped at his door front. The headlights were turned off before a guy on his mid-20s get out of the car. Then he remembered about Derek, the guys from the bar, whom he shared his bed with last night.

The doorbell rings.

“Hold on a sec, someone’s here.”
